After years of giving presentations, March 2026 gave me a new experience in this field: My presentation was recorded and made available for posterity. As part of the research project on resilient HEI governance, I gave an online talk with the German Ministry of Research, Technology and Space, which was attended by some 150 people — in spite of this being a ‘Lunch Talk’, i.e. held not only at a time when most people enjoy their midday meal but also on a Friday, 13th.

My tech set-up wasn’t as professional as the accompanying picture insist, as my use of two monitors meant that my eyes rather continuously switched between them which made for somehow awkward reflections in my glasses.
